The story of love & loss told in a non linear narrative that actually make the film is more engaging because you already know the whole story from the start but at some points you actually don't. How Andrew Garfield & Florence Pugh show that in relationships you'll make hard decisions and sacrifices for the sake of the one you love and this movie delivered it really good without melodrama, you can see it just by seeing their expressions and gestures.
